Writing & Citing
Those who are new to legal academic writing or writing research papers in Australian law schools may find the conventions of AGLC citation, and the skills of synthesising and incorporating sources, challenging to say the least.
This workshop confronts these challenges. It will:
- introduce the essential features and purposes of AGLC citation in legal academic writing
- examine the boundaries of plagiarism and how to avoid it
- explore methods for effectively incorporating sources into your writing
- practise paraphrasing and summarising text
