Orientation for new students
Graduate orientation sessions are designed to welcome new students to the Melbourne Law Masters, providing essential information about graduate study at Melbourne.
All new Melbourne-based students are expected to attend this orientation. Information will be available online for interstate students.
Orientation sessions also include vital research methodology information, focusing on:
- Selecting an area of research and formulating a research question
- Assessing a project's ‘manageability'
- The relationship between a research proposal and previous research
- Theoretical approaches to legal research
- Collection and organisation of data
- Referencing and citation.
